Zoeva Unboxing & First Impressions

As mentioned in a previous post, my lovely boyfriend got me a set of Zoeva brushes for Christmas. Before I do a proper review, because I’ve still not even used all of them, I decided to do a typed unboxing. 🙂 – If you’re wondering why I didn’t go for the ever popular Rose Golden set, it’s because I wanted to order a couple of other brushes and it would pain me to have two black and silver brushes and then a set in brown and copper with a brown and copper bag. I’ve decided instead to get all black and silver now and then the Rose Golden eye set later on. In my warped mind that’s completely logical and stops me freaking out about colours and which container to store each set in. Hahahaha. (Don’t bring the straight jacket right away).

The long and the short is that the package arrived like five days after ordering. Germany isn’t that far away though so I’m not that surprised. I was surprised at how quickly it processed though. I’m not sure if it was the usual processing time or if they were just rushing orders through in time for Christmas, but either way! Whoop. My package came two days before Christmas which was just great.

The box itself came undamaged and neat. One nice strip of clear tape straight over the top with COLOUR. LOVE. MAKEUP. printed on the edge. No mistaking who it’s from. 🙂

When you first open the box you get a few bits on top of the package. A card showing who picked and then who packed your parcel as well as a little mission statement written in English. I’m not sure if you get one in your own language or not but I’d assume so.

Our Ultimate goal is to offer you high quality products at affordable prices. Every ZOEVA brush is made with love and designed with conviction and passion for makeup. Helping every woman to discover her individual beauty is our highest ambition. ZOEVA means celebrating yourself and being aware of your individual beauty. ZOEVA is the wonderful world of colour and the eternal search for something new. Motivated by feelings and the enthusiasm for beauty tools, fascinating colours and makeup, ZOEVA creates unique products. The idea behind our products come from travelling, music and fashion.

I love the attention to detail and the care put into every package. That translates into the wrapping as well. It’s a neat and tidy little parcel in black tissue paper, secured with a little Zoeva crest sticker. Considering it was all done by hand, I’m a big fan.

For protection, all products are wrapped in air tubes…. I don’t think that’s what it’s actually called but it’s basically tube shaped bubble wrap. It was also very fun to pop and nothing came damaged. 🙂

Underneath all of that fun was the eyeliner and the two single brushes I ordered inside their own little zip bags which I think are just awesome for travel especially since I wasn’t in London when I received this so I need to have them protected on the way back down.

And then, underneath another bubble tube layer was the black Zoeva makeup bag which had the Vegan Prime set inside. Each brush came in a plastic sleeve. Some of them had brush guards to keep the bristles straight and others didn’t.

I wont go into each brush here, that’ll be in the next Zoeva post so stay tuned for that if you’re interested in buying some Zoeva brushes  and want to know a bit more about performance.
