Eyelure Collaboration Lashes w/ @Vegas_Nay – Grand Glamour | £3.98
“An alluring and original lash for full on glamour. Make a statement in this gorgeous style”.

bloglineSuperdrug are currently selling the Eyelure and Vegas_Nay lashes buy one get one half price so me and my girl Zee (TheRealBeautyEdit) decided to get a pair each to try. I went for Grand Glamour and she went for Shining Star. The total came to around £13 and then we split it.

The name Grand Glamour is no joke! These lashes are long and wispy with a  top layer of shorter lashes that curl upwards. When I tried them on they were at first super heavy but that kind of just added to the sultryness. I got used to it after a while but I only had one eye of lashes on so I probably have one buff eyelid now from the blink workout I gave it!!

My Graduation Day Makeup & Outfit

On July 6th I graduated from university. It seems like an absolute age since that day but I still remember every moment. To date, it was the best day of my life. I had a few questions on the day so here’s a little post about the makeup and outfit from graduation. Mine was fairly early so there are still many people who might like and benefit from this post. If you do, let me know :).

I did a little google research before the big day about makeup for graduation and gathered a few ideas. In the end I decided to go for a bronzed type look with soft pinks and not just a very plain face. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t regret what I had done when looking back at the pictures. I tried to keep it sculpted but natural. I even used some of the skills I picked up at the Freedom and House of GlamDolls course. << Not a plug, legit what I did. Continue reading

The sweet and fresh lemony top note of Bergamot combined with the elegant rosey and feminine note of Rose Geranium give this Face Balm a subtle and exquisite scent.
Our Face Balm comes in 20g.
Gently apply to clean facial skin. The face balm will be absorbed quickly.

Another potential product on the Beauty Crowd site is the OKKO Face Balm. The balm has many natural oils and ingredients and smells a little bit “hippy” with its use of bergamot and rose geranium. Everything about this screams nature and on first impressions this looked like something that I would really enjoy adding to my skincare regime. Continue reading

Handbag Saviours! - Beauty Made Easy Oil Blotting Sheets

If you have oily skin then you know the struggle with having a shiny face. I’m not one for over powdering or using completely flat matte base products just to avoid shine so I like to keep blotting papers handy. For the longest time I used some from the Tea Tree range at the Body Shop but I haven’t been able to find them in a while and tbh, the whole Tea Tree thing didn’t really do anything anyway. I had these pretty pink powdered blotting papers sent to me from Beauty Crowd Pro to try to see whether or not they should be stocked on the site. After trying them for a week, I say yes.

You sometimes completely forget just how important something like a blotting sheet is. You don’t want to use a tissue because some leave white fibres or rub off makeup and you don’t want to end up with a bare nose. And you don’t want to keep applying powder either because it’ll cake up and look weird and splotchy. Blotting papers are saviours because they’re just so lightweight and easy. Continue reading

EBay Jessup Brushes Coffee/Gold (Tom Ford Dupe) Review

After seeing a fair few YouTuber’s talk about both the Tom Ford brushes (cheapest (lip) brush is £36 – GASP!) and the Jessup equivalents from Ebay I decided to place an order. I couldn’t decide which individual brushes to get so I stuck with face brushes and got the 5pc set. This set comes with a traditional flat foundation brush (01), a cream foundation brush (02), a wide flat shader (04), a bronzer brush (05) and large cheek brush (06). Continue reading

Bell Hypoallergenic Eyeshadows – Full Collection Review w/Swatches

hypoallergenic ˌhʌɪpəʊaləˈdʒɛnɪk/ adjective adjective: hypoallergenic; adjective: hypo-allergenic  (especially of cosmetics and textiles) relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.

For me, Bell is a completely new brand. I’ve seen them mentioned here and there but never investigated because very few of the products look WOC friendly since the brand is originally Polish and therefore caters for a Polish demographic. I recently joined Beauty Crowd Pro, an online blogging community and the opportunity arose to try out some Bell products. I thought eyeshadow was pretty neutral ground so was more than happy to put my name down to try the full collection of hypoallergenic shadows.

My Must Have Makeup Revolution Products

If you’ve heard of Makeup Revolution then chances are, you want everything but can’t bring yourself to splurge or you want everything, and you splurge so bad you wonder how you’ll ever fit it all on your face in a lifetime. I’m one of the latter. Funny, because even though Revolution send some bits and bobs to review, I still make massive orders of my own which now means I have an epic collection that threatens to have me thrown out of my house because my mother thinks it’s getting out of hand. (She doesn’t think so when I whip out Essential Mattes 2 and give her a little bit of a spruce up before church on a Sunday though FYI). I think I’ve hit my MUR limit now though as I realised after making another order on Thursday, that I pretty much own everything on the site barring foundations and whatnot. It’s so amazing how one brand has completely revolutionised (no pun intended) how I think about makeup.

Recently, I posted the thumbnail to this post on Instagram (@LaurenLondon94) and since its my most liked image, I thought I’d best get onto writing it up seen as a lot of people clearly want to see it!

So, here goes, my all time favourites from Makeup Revolution! Continue reading

LUSH Oxford Street Overview - It’s just so LUSH!

I’ve always loved LUSH and the relaxed and slightly hippy environment that makes you feel super clean and natural. They ladies and gents in there always seem like such natural beauties and you can tell from talking to them just how much they love and adore LUSH products. (Plus, male employees have the softest looking beards. Weird to notice but mmmm, fuzzy :)). I once spent over an hour standing in LUSH with my friend Tasha and two LUSH employees discussing hair and skincare. It set us up in such a good mood for lunch and shopping afterwards. The two girls at the branch went above and beyond for us.

Anyway, this post is about something different… You’ve probably already seen it by now but this is the new LUSH store on Oxford Street, a mecca of natural, cruelty free beauty, skin and haircare. The pictures were taken on the second day of opening. – Yeaaaaaah… that just goes to show how long I hoard blog pictures ahaha.  Continue reading
