20 Facts About Me

I’m tidying my blog up a little and redesigning the look a bit so I’m removing a lot of old posts. A few of them are “award” posts where you say a few facts about yourself and then nominate others to do the same. I appreciate all of the nominations from people and the lovely comments I received. I didn’t really want to redesign each since they don’t get much traffic anyway and I haven’t even finished writing more current posts so I’m just consolidating my facts here. I hope you enjoy getting to know me :).

I recently bought a facial scrub from The Body Shop and have been using physical exfoliators for years, but recently have been unhappy with the results and the damage they do to the texture of my skin. A couple of months ago I made the move towards muslin cloths and facial loofas as an alternative. After seeing this video I’m so glad I did. I’m saying no to microbeads and micro plastics.

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?

Not including electrical items? Probably my MAC Matchmaster Foundation. – You have to have a good base to work with though so I’m not crying about the £25 label. – Much. *Looks at bank statement*

Anastasiias was tagged in the 40 Beauty Questions Tag and she was interested in finding out our answers to the same questions. So here are mine. 

How many times do you wash your face daily?

Twice. Once with ice cold water as soon as I get out of bed (my technique to stop me getting back in) and once before bed with luke warm water.

What type of skin do you have?

Combination but mainly oily.

What is your current facial wash?

I’m using the Garnier exfo-brush  at the moment. It seems to be doing a pretty good job as a facial wash but not so much as a spot fighter – I’ve been breaking out a lot. – I’m looking for something new while I use this up.

My thoughts on animal testing and the 2013 LUSH campaign

The ironic thing is that if it was a beagle in the window and we were doing all these things to it, we’d have the police and RSPCA here in minutes. But somewhere in the world, this kind of thing is happening to an animal every few seconds on average. The difference is, it’s normally hidden. We need to remind people it is still going on.
