blogline

MAKEUP REVOLUTION FLAWLESS MATTE 2 THUMB.jpg

Following the success of our original Flawless Matte palette we bring you 32 more highly pigment matte ultra eyeshadows in one palette. Everyday wearable tones so perfect for use into the evening. Easy to blend and long lasting, this is the perfect palette for on the go too as it comes complete with a full size mirror.

From light to dark, 32 matte shades for flawless eyes.

bloglineMy postman delivered me an unexpected treat last week Friday and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Makeup Revolution had a brand new Flawless Matte palette on the market. I’ve been out of the loop with makeup recently due to it being exam season so I didn’t even know this was being released but here she is! – I didn’t purchase the original Flawless Matte palette because when I swatched them in Superdrug they were all quite pale which wouldn’t work at all for my skintone so I’m glad to see a brand new palette that has least has some warm shades that can be worked into pale shadow looks.

This is a very long overdue review but I feel as though reviewing cult products is always a benefit no matter how long they’ve been on the market. If people continue to talk about them, then others can benefit from knowing about truly good products so today I’m talking about Maybelline Colour Tattoo’s.

The colour tats are supposed to just be used as gel eyeshadows but the beauty world has just gone in and said, “hey, no, that’s not what we want, so we’re just going to pretend their eyesadow bases instead”. I must admit, it did take me a while to click that YouTuber’s and the like weren’t using them as directed, I just thought Maybelline had come up with a product and given it a mismatched name. But anyway… Continue reading

March 2016 Favourite Products

bloglineMARCH FAVOURITES THUMB.jpg

This month has been pretty chill and low maintenance for me. I always use the easter break as a chance to recharge everything. Hair, skin, nails, blog and that meant less makeup and more concentrating on me. The first two weeks of March I still had uni so I got some good use out of some products but other than that beauty has been a one, two skip a few type thing for me.

I have a nice selection of favourites this month but I don’t have an eyeshadow palette because I’ve been hermitting in my room doing uni work for deadlines before exams so eyeshadow hasn’t really been on my priority list. If I’ve gone out, aside from my Full Face of Freedom, it’s been more foundation and mascara than anything bright and artsy. Although trust me, it’s Spring, bright and artsy is definitely coming!

But anyway, here are my favourites! ↓↓

A while ago I kept having suggestions on YouTube about the Jordana Complete cover foundation after I’d searched for “foundation for dark skin”. The reviews were all great but it wasn’t something I could find in the UK to purchase. Then I realised that Beauty Crowd stocked Jordana and were also having a 50% off sale so I bought a few things in my haul here, plus the Jordana foundation to try. Continue reading

My Kiko Infinity Clics Collection 2016 Review w/Swatches

blogline

KIKO CLIC STHUMB.jpg

I went to Kiko yonks ago and added a few more colours to my Clics collection. My plan is to make a 24 pan neutral palette with my Clics. As much as I love colour, I’m not really a fan of some of the bright Infinity shadows, I think they’re a bit to gaudy but the neutrals are all gorgeous.

The shadows individually cost £5.90 but NEVER pay that much for them. They have sales every month so the price drops to £2.80. There are 48 Infinity shadows to choose from plus six Infinity Sparkle shadows so you’re not stuck for choice.

Makeup Revolution Monday – Newtrals v Neutrals Review w/Swatches | £6.99

blogline

makeup revolution newtrals thumb.jpg

New-Trals are the new NEUTRALS. Upgrade your new natural eye looks with the new generation of natural shades.

bloglineMy blog is going absolutely Makeup Revolution mad again which alway seems to happen around this time of the year! There are so many new products and new launches and new everything that my three post per week schedule can’t cope! My MUR posts wont stop, I have so much to get written up after the party last week, I’m just taking a break from palette madness and will resume in three/four weeks.  Makeup Revolution Monday has been getting very good responses and I’ve enjoyed trying something new each week. It’s helped me to rediscover some previous purchases. So for the final week of this “season”, I have an old launch that’s quite new to my collection. Newtrals v Neutrals, a pro palette full of mattes and shimmers in pinks, oranges and reds.

You can’t find a good red or orange anywhere on the highstreet or in the drugstore, can you? But having said that, you never really want to purchase them anyway, do you? What would you do with red and orange? I was so sceptical about what I’d actually use reds for but when the palette arrived my fears subsided. The more dominant colours really are neutral despite being uber pigmented. You can create all manner of warm daytime looks with this palette. And way I say pigmented, I mean pigmented. The matte formula really is something special. And, I know I’m not the only one that loves the smell of fresh powder products. It’s like that petrol smell. Gorgeous! Continue reading

Makeup Revolution Monday – Ultra 32 Shade Eyeshadow Palette Eyes Like Angels Review w/Swatches | £8.00

blogline

MAKEUP REVOLUTION EYES LIKE ANGELS THUMB.jpg

*Apologies for any blurry pics (I didn’t have my specs on haha)

Ultra 32 eyeshadow palettes are the perfect professional eyeshadow go to
palette. All you need in one handy collection. 32 shades in one palette
with a great mix of shimmer and matte wearable and experimental shades
to create any look and play with, for amazing performance and value!
Our ultra eyeshadows are packed full of pigment and all new shades plus
a large full size mirror. This is the ultra collection of 32 brights and
smoked shades to experiment and play with!

bloglineThis weeks palette is the Eyes Like Angels 32 shade ultra professional palette. It has an array of colours, pinks, purples, golds, blues and my favourites, greens. Now the majority of colours are shimmery/ metallic finishes but there are one or two mattes. After using this solidly for a week I have to say that that’s definitely a problem. Unlike the other 32 shade palettes that have at least one matte colour to use as transition and one matte for highlighting, this palette lacks that. It’s all colour. Fine if you’re a professional or some own who has a lot of palettes or shadows nearby but not if you take this as your one and only palette which I did this week. In the end I had a purple or pink crease most days. Not ideal every day of the week.  Continue reading

My Favourite Concealers – February 2016

blogline

beauty favourites concealers thumb.jpg

In my attempt to use less foundation because it’s getting quite expensive, I’ve been using concealers both under and over a thin base. I’ve found that I use much less product all around both foundation and concealer and I look far less cakey than just using two layers of foundation alone. I just thought I’d share my favourites and have a little chit chat about them. Also, showing you some great concealers for tan-deep skin.

Makeup Revolution Monday – Unicorns Unite Palette Review w/ Swatches – £6.00

MAKEUPREVOLUTIONUNICORNSUNITETHUMB.jpg

Calling all Unicorns! Unite and change the world with your own legendary
looks!
Made with the help of “Real” Unicorns in our Enchanted Magical Makeup
Forest.
Containing 18 shades - 12 Shimmer and 6 Matte, in a sleek and
professional palette with full size mirror.

This week’s palette is the Unicorn’s Unite palette!  I bought this some time ago a few days after its release when there was a 3for2 on palettes but for some reason, I’ve never gotten around to using it. When I grabbed it out of my palette stash the other day I’d barely even swatched it. That is so unusual for me but maybe it’s a sign of my palette collection problem that I’m now not even realising I have untouched and unused gems hidden away! So anyway, It’s about time we took a look at it!  Continue reading
